Zevyqo Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Zevyqo collects, why it is used, how current Zevyqo features process it, which service providers may receive it, and the choices available to users.
1. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Zevyqo handles personal information when you use our website and nutrition and wellness features. Zevyqo is designed to help users log food, track nutrition and body information, scan foods and ingredients, receive AI-generated insights, save recipes and plans, and communicate with Zevyqo support.
This policy describes the current Zevyqo code and services reviewed as of the date shown above. If Zevyqo adds new data uses, analytics, advertising, payments, or other material features, this policy should be updated before or when those changes are introduced.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, Zevyqo may collect information you provide directly or that is created through your use of the service.
- Account information, including your email address, account ID, authentication state, and display name.
- Onboarding and profile information, which may include age, biological sex, height, weight, goal weight, body-fat estimate, waist/neck/hip measurements, goals, target date, activity level, exercise habits, diet style, dietary restrictions, disliked foods, eating schedule, sleep, stress, consistency, and related wellness information.
- Calculated information such as BMR, TDEE, calorie targets, macronutrient targets, hydration targets, body-composition estimates, and goal pacing.
- Food logs, meal type, serving size, calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, notes, source, and timestamps.
- Water logs, weight logs, body-fat logs, saved recipes and saved meal plans.
- Questions, chat messages, food descriptions, feedback, bug reports, ratings, and ideas you submit.
- Images you choose to take or upload for meal, ingredient, or refrigerator scanning.
- Technical information normally involved in operating a web service, such as browser/device request information, IP address information processed by hosting/service providers, authentication tokens, and error or server logs.
3. Passwords and authentication
Zevyqo uses Supabase for authentication. The Zevyqo application is not designed to store or display your password in readable plain text. Authentication tokens may be stored in your browser so you can remain signed in.
You are responsible for protecting access to your account and device.
4. Health and wellness information
Some information you provide to Zevyqo, such as weight, body composition, nutrition, activity, stress, sleep, and wellness goals, may be sensitive personal information. Zevyqo uses this information to provide the features you request, calculate personalized targets, show progress, and generate personalized nutrition or wellness output.
Zevyqo should only collect information that is reasonably connected to providing, securing, supporting, and improving the service.
5. Photos and scanning
When you use meal, ingredient, or refrigerator scanning, the selected image is converted for transmission and sent to Zevyqo's server-side AI processing. In the current app code reviewed, Zevyqo does not intentionally save the scan image file itself in its Supabase database after analysis. A temporary browser preview may exist while the scan is being processed.
The image is transmitted to an AI service provider for analysis. That provider may process the image under its own terms, security practices, and data-handling rules. Avoid including faces, identification documents, addresses, private paperwork, or other unnecessary personal information in food-scanning photos.
6. Artificial intelligence processing
Zevyqo uses OpenAI-powered server functions for features that may include food recognition, nutrition estimates, ingredient recognition, refrigerator inventory recognition, recipe generation, nutrition explanations, personalized coaching, chat responses, and other AI-assisted features.
Information needed for the feature you request may be sent to the AI provider. This can include an image, food description, question, and relevant profile or nutrition context. Zevyqo sends these requests from server-side functions rather than intentionally exposing the private AI API key to the browser.
AI systems can make mistakes. An AI response may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading even when it sounds confident.
7. How we use information
- Create and maintain your account and authenticate you.
- Save and display nutrition, water, body, and progress information.
- Calculate personalized nutrition and wellness targets.
- Generate AI-assisted food analysis, recipes, insights, and responses.
- Operate food, ingredient, refrigerator, and barcode-related features.

8. Service providers and disclosures
Zevyqo currently depends on third-party providers. Information is shared with them only as reasonably necessary for their role or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
- Supabase: authentication, database services, and storage of account/profile and logged app data.
- Vercel: website hosting, server-side functions, deployment infrastructure, request handling, and technical logs.
- OpenAI: AI processing for image analysis, nutrition/food analysis, recipe generation, coaching, chat, and related AI features.
- Resend: delivery of certain Zevyqo emails and feedback notifications. Feedback emails may include the feedback content and the submitting user's email/account identifier.
- Open Food Facts: barcode/product lookup requests may send a barcode or product query to the service to retrieve food information.
- Google Fonts: the website currently loads fonts from Google-hosted font services, which may receive ordinary request information such as IP address and browser information when those files are requested.
9. Browser storage and similar technologies
Zevyqo currently uses browser storage for functionality rather than advertising. Examples in the current code include Supabase authentication/session data, the user's unit preference, and saved recipes or meal plans.
The app code reviewed does not intentionally include third-party advertising trackers. If Zevyqo later adds analytics, advertising, or additional tracking technologies, this policy should be updated and any required consent controls should be added.
10. Authorized access to user information
Authorized Zevyqo operators or service providers may be able to access user information where reasonably necessary to operate the service, investigate bugs, respond to support or privacy requests, maintain security, or comply with law. Access should be limited to people who need it for a legitimate purpose.
Users should avoid sending passwords, one-time authentication codes, API keys, or other secrets through feedback or support channels.
11. International processing
Zevyqo's service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries. Information processed outside your home jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.
12. Security
Zevyqo uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect user information, including authenticated access and database access controls. However, no website, internet transmission, cloud service, or database can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Zevyqo does not promise absolute security. If a security or privacy incident occurs, Zevyqo will take reasonable steps to investigate, contain, and respond, including notifications or reports where required by applicable law.
13. Retention
Zevyqo may retain account, profile, nutrition, body, progress, feedback, and related information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain records, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and protect security.
Saved recipes, saved plans, unit preferences, and some authentication/session information may also remain in browser storage until removed, overwritten, cleared, or the browser storage is reset.
14. Access, correction, deletion, and withdrawal
You may contact Zevyqo to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification. You may also stop using optional features or request account deletion if you no longer want Zevyqo to process information for those features.
Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or recordkeeping reasons. Zevyqo may also need enough information to document that a request was completed.
15. Children and younger users
Zevyqo 1.0 is intended for users age 13 and older. Users must confirm that they are at least 13 before creating an account. Zevyqo does not need an exact birth date for this account-age confirmation and should not collect more age-assurance information than reasonably necessary.
If Zevyqo learns that an account belongs to a child under 13, Zevyqo may suspend the account and take reasonable steps to delete associated personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping requirements. A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 has provided personal information should contact Zevyqo.
Nutrition and body information can be particularly sensitive for teenagers. Younger users should involve a parent or guardian and a qualified healthcare professional when making significant nutrition, weight, growth, exercise, or health decisions.
16. Your choices and consent
Before a new Zevyqo account is created, the signup process asks the user to confirm the minimum age requirement and agreement to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. This confirmation does not authorize uses of personal information beyond those described here or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
You can choose not to provide optional information, although some features may not work or may be less personalized without it. When a feature sends personal information to a third-party provider, including AI processing, Zevyqo describes that processing in this policy. Where applicable law or platform rules require additional or express permission for a particular collection, use, or disclosure, Zevyqo should obtain that permission before it occurs.
17. Changes to this policy
Zevyqo may update this Privacy Policy as the product, technology, service providers, or legal requirements change. The Last Updated date on this page is generated during each website build so a newly deployed version shows the date of that deployment. Material changes should also be communicated in an appropriate way when required.
